When I first set eyes on this historic home, my brain immediately started stitching together the different directions I could take its design. 421 Conestoga Road was built in 1870, and much of the 6-bedroom home still retains its historic features.

Some components though, like the beautiful and bright farmhouse kitchen, have recently been renovated. I knew that marrying those two sides in a way that felt natural would be a challenge.
The home served as a great canvas with its hardwood floors, tall ceilings, and truly remarkable amounts of natural lighting. With all of that natural beauty, I knew that I wanted to highlight its character in a way that felt authentic.
The final design feels simultaneously cozy and elegant – everything you’d want a historic home to feel like! Click on the image below to view the full-size images of the final product.
